General Party Rental Information
Party Room Rentals are scheduled online at register.communitypass.net
Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 2:00pm-4:00pm
Saturday: 10:00am-12:00pm or 2:00pm-4:00pm
Sunday: 2:00pm-4:00pm
Maximum Capacity in Party Rooms (PR1 & PR2): 30 people.
Party Room 1 & Party Room 2 are reserved simultaneously for a two-hour block of time.
Party begins and ends at the scheduled time.
All party attendees (adults and children) must have the appropriate color wristband.
Outside food and drink is acceptable to bring to the party.
- Please no open flames, including “Sterno” cooking fuel cans.
- Birthday candles are permitted.
- No alcohol permitted.
No personal tape to be used on party room walls.
- The SOAC will provide painter’s tape for guest’s decorations.
Fifteen minutes before Party Rental Block expires/At End of Party Room Reservation:
- Party Leader (person who scheduled the reservation) begins cleaning room, using cleaning products provided by SOAC
- Rooms are to be inspected by a SOAC staff member before Party Leader leaves
- Party Leader will incur an additional $25.00 fee for any major messiness remaining at the conclusion of the rental. Damages to SOAC Facility will be reviewed by the Director of Smyrna Parks & Rec. Cost of damages subject to the assessment made by the Director of Smyrna Parks & Rec.
Payment must be received within 7 days from approval. Once you have been approved Payment is due in 7 days. Not 7 days before your event. If your reservation is less than 7 days please be ready to make a payment upon approval.
CANCELLATION POLICY:If cancellation occurs 30 or more days from reservation date – Full Refund
If cancellation occurs 8-29 days from reservation date – 50% Refund
If cancellation occurs 7 or less days from reservation date – NO REFUND

Includes ONE of the activities listed below.
SOAC Access:
- 40 minutes of scheduled private climbing time with your party guests (Adventure Zone 1 OR Adventure Zone 2). Private Climb Time Assigned by SOAC Staff: will be the last 40 minutes of the rental time block.
- Exploration opportunities during party time in the Exhibit Hall (hands-on exhibit)
Unlimited swimming with your party guests for the day of the reservation.
Party Room Rental with Climbing and Swimming Access:
$250 Party Room rental fee
2 hour Party Room rental block
Wristbands for 30 guests total (adults and children)
30 SOAC wristbands and 30 Splash Town wristbands:
Includes BOTH activities listed above.
SOAC climbing access will occur FIRST during your Party Rental block.
Splash Town Access will occur SECOND. This ensures the safety of the climbers during your party.
Private Party Rental (SOAC Manager Approval)
Friday and Saturday Night
6:00pm–8:00pm $450.00
4:00pm-8:00pm $600.00
50 SOAC wristbands total (adults and children)
- Private climb time with your party guests (Adventure Zone 1 & Adventure Zone 2).
- Exploration opportunities during party time in the Exhibit Hall (hands-on exhibit)
- $50.00 Party Room rental fee
- The Party Room holds 30 Guests Total (adults and children) with access to Party Room ONLY
- 2 hour Party Room rental block
Every person who visits the SOAC must present a signed waiver upon arrival. The signed waiver will be on file with the SOAC for one year.

- Bring the waivers to the party
- We suggest that the Party Leader gathers all guest waivers several days before party and present them together upon check-in.
- Multiple people/children from same household can be on the same waiver

- NOTE: If responsible parent/guardian will not be attending with their child(ren), they must sign a waiver ahead of time for their child(ren) and have child bring to party.
Party Host (SOAC Staff) should arrive for their shift at SOAC Reception Desk/Discovery Den, no later than 30 minutes prior to party start time:
- Party Host (SOAC Staff) will meet with Party Leader to go over logistics and schedule for the party (hopefully this will take place sometime within the 30 minutes prior to the reservation start time).
- Party Leader will be responsible to have all party guests complete waivers.
- A waiver must be completed before a guest is allowed into the climbing rooms (Adventure Zone 1 and Adventure Zone 2.) Waiver = Wristband.
- ALL participants must wear closed-toe shoes when in Adventure Zone 1.
- ALL participants must wear closed-toe shoes when in Adventure Zone 2.
- 40-minute Private climbing time
- Exploration opportunities during party time in the Exhibit Hall (hands-on exhibit)
If your Party Room Rental Package Includes Swimming:
- Party Room guests are counted toward pool maximum user capacity for the day.
- All party attendees (adults and children) must have appropriate color wristband.
- Wet clothing is only permitted on the Pool Deck and in the SOAC Party Rooms. Once party guests have accessed Splash Town, they need to stay inside the party rooms for the remainder of the party rental time for the safety of others in the building. We ask that swim party guests use the Splash Town restrooms on the Pool Deck and exit through Splash Town after your SOAC party room rental.
