The following benefits are available to full-time employees:

  • Single Coverage: $13.85 per pay period (every two weeks)

Retirement Savings Program

  • Eligible after 6 month of service with enrollment being the first month of every quarter
  • You are eligible to make pre-taxed contributions from each paycheck
  • Town of Smyrna will make a base contribution of 3% each year to all participants' accounts
  • Town of Smyrna will contribute a match of 50% of the first 6% of pay contributed by each participant each year
  • You will earn 20% vesting each fiscal year. After 5 years, you are 100% vested in contributions made by the Town of Smyrna

Paid Time Off (PTO)

The Town of Smyrna recognizes the need for employees to take time away from work for illness, personal reasons, and vacations. In an effort to meet the flexibility needs of employees, the Town has a PTO policy for it’s regular full-time employees.

  • All regular full-time employees will accrue PTO at the following rate:
  • 0 to 4 years of service 18 days / 144 hours per year or 5.54 hours per pay period
  • 5 to 9 years of service 23 days / 184 hours per year or 7.08 hours per pay period
  • 10 years or more service 28 days / 224 hours per year or 8.62 hours per pay period
